Our Story
The moment I picked up the camera, I fell in love with the art of capturing moments and emotions.
In 2013, my journey into the world of photography began, but it wasn't until 2022 that I truly dedicated the time and passion it deserved. It was during this rekindling that I discovered the transformative power of black-and-white photography. Opting to exclusively shoot with Fujifilm after experimenting with Canon and Sony, I found that Fujifilm unlocked a creative dimension within me that had remained untapped. Fueled by my newfound inspiration, I founded N'DGlo Image Photography in 2022, following in the footsteps of my uncle Richard, a seasoned photographer.

Fujifilm became my chosen canvas, allowing me to paint with light and shadows, unlocking a creativity within me that had been dormant for too long. Drawing inspiration from my uncle , a photographer himself, I embarked on a visual exploration, capturing the essence of moments and the beauty within simplicity. Behind the lens, N'DGlo Image is not just a business but a passion project, a visual odyssey that seeks to tell stories through the powerful medium of monochrome.

The N'DGlo Image logo intricately weaves together the profound symbolism of the Kongo Cosmogram with distinct Adinkrahene, Owia Kokroko, Sesa Woruban, and Dame Dame symbols, creating a visual tapestry that reflects the essence of our brand.
The Kongo Cosmogram:
A timeless symbol embodying the cyclical nature of life, unity in diversity, and the interconnectedness of the spiritual and physical realms.
Adinkra symbols were designed by the Akan people from Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana during the early 1800s.

The genesis of 'N'DGlo' finds its roots in the profound significance of the color indigo. Inspired by 'Indigo,' N'DGlo reflects the rich tapestry of African American and Black history. Indigo, historically linked to the era of slavery and resistance, symbolizes both the harsh realities of the past and the resilience of a people. Our choice of 'N'DGlo' pays homage to this deep history, acknowledging the strength and creativity that emerged from adversity. In the spirit of indigo, N'DGlo Image aims to capture and celebrate the diverse narratives, creativity, and beauty within the African American and Black experience through the timeless art of black-and-white photography.
